Bob Ankony was so much to so many people, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a decorated Vietnam Veteran and police officer.  While sadly his life ended too soon, he lived a life few have experienced, he saw and did more in his life than many ever have and he was a role model and a source of inspiration to many.  Sadly my dad dealt with severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD for as long as I can remember and ultimately that was one battle he could not overcome.  On the surface he was always seen with a smile on his face and a friendly wave while out running with his dogs but inside there was a battle raging that nobody could stop.  He helped so many vets seek the help they needed and deserved and he gave a voice to so many police officers and Rangers through his blog but was unable to express the angst and pain he dealt with daily.

He deeply loved his country and was so proud to serve alongside so many amazing heroes. He had such a loving and giving heart that we want his legacy to continue on and his amazing reach of influence and hope to give others the help and guidance they need.  The Rangers meant the world to my dad and he felt like he was amongst family when with them, whether it was buddies he had served with or another Ranger on the street.

In lieu of flowers, we would be honored if you’d donate towards an amazing organization that represents who my dad was and will forever be remembered as.

This page is dedicated to the memory of Dr. (Ranger) Robert Ankony.
